Preparation of Micro-Electrolytic Iron-Carbon Filler for Sewage by Recycling Metallurgical Dust

In this paper, a new iron-carbon micro-electrolytic filler for wastewater treatment was prepared using the blast furnace dust. The effects of preparation conditions on performance during were investigated. optimal obtained, which provided an experimental theoretical basis use metallurgical dust sludge in fillers. From results treating methyl orange-simulated with fillers different conditions, it could be obtained that improvement processing requires suitable iron to carbon ratio, sintering time, and temperature. optimum 1:2 30 min 1100 °C effect also showed increasing addition, temperature, decreasing initial pH effectively improve efficiency wastewater. More than 99% orange removed under 5 g filler, 40 °C, = 3.
